I am now doing research and waiting for the thaw to start planting.  For my birthday last year I purchased, again with a gift certificate a seed starting grow light system .I found a west window in spare bedroom and if I keep the door closed ( where wife does not see it) it   will be up and running this week. My square foot garden beds are going to get a full  and hopefully timely planting this spring.

Our church ‘s community garden is opening this spring and I am volunteering to make a go of it . I will takes a small plot and see what I can do with it.

I am learning everyday something about growing food in the backyard .

I am buying Gardening books, old and new. I  hope to start selling the duplicates at my bonnazle booth online .

I planted a grapevine and a couple blueberry plants in late fall , will see if they wintered all right pretty soon here in Oklahoma zone 7

Working on this site and selling books on Amazon and Bonazzle is taking lots of time . Then there is football on tv ;multitasker that I am.

Very traditional meal growing up in Texas .

New Years Day  was a family day  .Eating ,watching football, napping and making plans for the New Year. Almost no one worked unless necessary . I miss that family was more important than money feeling we had growing up. But alas my wife a RN is at work at her hospital , I am in my  home office  taking care of loose ends .I am even thinking of doing some shopping . Drat my shiftless soul. How ever you spend the day , Have a Happy New Year!

Simple, man up and share it with them. I started gardening this year and my wife told me to checkout “PDub’s” raised beds garden  plans. I did and used her ideas for a couple beds. They are simple easy to build  and work  good . Even though I do not have the on site manure ,I make it up with gas ( for going to garden centers). I read it daily and my dear beautiful wife and I always are asking each other what going on with:
